Events & Installations

Temporary does not mean improvised. It still has to look right, work on time, and come apart when it is over.

The work

A deadline, a venue, and something the public has to walk into.

My event work spans production management, technical supervision, fabrication, installation, and the systems that keep everything moving, along with writing and hosting live programming.

The format changes. The practical job does not: make the public-facing version work on time, in the real space, with the people and resources available.

From building one festival department to expanding across another.

The progression moved from helping establish Austin Film Festival's video operation into creating ATX Television Festival's video department and broader festival production work.

Five years building AFF's video operation.

I worked under Miguel Alvarez to establish the festival's videography department. Its interview and event-coverage work helped create the foundation that later grew into PBS's On Story.

ATX Television Festival

Creating the video department, then expanding into festival production.

I created the video department in the festival's third year. My work later expanded into production management across screenings, panels, parties, and live events throughout downtown Austin.

An early television activation and a recent immersive build serve as bookends, with years of production, fabrication, and public-facing event work between them.

Build Show Live / Live conference build

Three stages for one live conference.

Three custom stages were built for Build Show LIVE 2025 at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center Dallas. The stages supported rotating expert talks, technical education, and live demonstrations throughout the event.

Ongoing / Monday trivia at Industry

A new four-round trivia game every week.

I write, design, and host a new trivia night every Monday at Industry in East Austin. Each edition combines original research and questions, visual rounds, recurring game structures, scoring, pacing, and live crowd work.

Regular teams get familiar touchstones without being able to predict the next round. I continue developing the format, presentation, and audience experience as the room grows.
